The Costa Brava Golf Society meets at the Costa Brava Club every Tuesday for their enjoyable events which have now been running for over a dozen years. They are 18 hole medal events followed by prize giving.   

There is an excellent restaurant at the club and group rates can be arranged. We also have aw traditional annual match against the Sant Jordi Golf Society at the club which usually takes place in February.

 

In May 2010 the Costa Brava Club inaugurated a new 9 holes making 27 in total and there was a match against the Sant Jordi Golf Society to commemorate this great occasion. Following are the photographs of the prize giving.

Costs Brava vs Sant Jordi. Costa Brava. 21st February 2012
The weather was great,no wind lots of sun. The course was playing well and the greens were reasonably fast. Sant Jordi had a team of 13 players and the Costa Brava had 15 players. The two team captains agreed to add the best ten cards and because the result was so close, after several recounts the winning team was announced. Sant Jordi with 325 points beat the Costa Brava which scored 321 points. Wow! A truely amazing and close result. Nearest the pins at holes 6 – 13 – 17 were all won by Sant Jordi players. Hole 6 – C.McLaughlin, Hole 13 – I.Morwood, Hole 17 – A.Linder All won golf umbrellas. C.McLaughlin also won a golf glove for the best card of the day,with 39 points. Lunch was enjoyed by everybody,unfortunately not all the home team could stay for the magnificent lunch. Following are some photos from the event.
