El Trofeu Hanslope 2009

The Hanslope Park Golf Society visited Montanya for their annual match against the might of the Sant Jordi team. The event was fought in great spirit over two days in magnificent conditions both weather wise and on the course.

After day one the score was tied at two all and following a delicious dinner provided at the club and some light entertainment provided by the Sant Jordi Resident Comedians in Viladrau, thought was put on the eight singles matches set for Thursday.

Thursday was a crisp warn morning and this proved to be more to the liking of the Sant Jordi members who won the single side of the event  by a score of 6 to 2 leaving a global match total of 8-4. The trophy has remained in Catalunya for another year.

The trophy above was therefore presented by the Hanslope Captain, Gary Peers to Graham Nash the Captain of the Sant Jordi team.

We would like to thank Gary and his team for making this years event really memorable.
